Hi, my name is Rebecca Carter, and I'm your College and Career Advisor at PSI High. I'm here to help you create a vision for your future and design a pathway to lead you towards your goals. I believe that 100% of PSI High students should leave high school prepared for a successful college experience. Not only will I help you get to college, but I will also support you after high school--in college or in your career. You or your family can make an appointment with me anytime.
In my administrative role as PSI High's College and Career Strategist, I work to create a college-ready culture at school, and to demonstrate that postsecondary education is a realistic goal for all our students by highlighting their strengths, aptitudes, and the work they engage in during their high school years. I help students develop the attributes and support systems that research shows will enable their success in college, preparing them for college life academically, socially, and emotionally.
PSI High offers multiple events for our students and parents to help assist you in the entire 4-year process of preparing for life after high school:
Fall and Spring College Fairs
Summer Study Workshops
College and Career Field Experiences 9-12
High-Impact PSAT and SAT Courses
College Information Night
FAFSA/CSS Profile/SSAR Skill Session
Access to more than 125 colleges!
Year-Round College Rep Visits
Career Fair
Fall and Spring Internship Expos hosted by ePathways
PSI High students have access to student advising through appointments, but we also track our student progress through regular "check-ins". Check-ins allow us to check grades, review a student's 4-year plan, check goals, review each student's portfolio, target colleges, connect students to extracurriculars, develop summer plans, and more.
