Private School Students

The Florida Department of Education has asked districts to administer state end-of-course (EOC) exams to private school students. These tests are intended for students who have completed the Algebra 1 course required for graduation at a private school and who intend to enroll in a public school in the Fall. Registration for summer testing opens April 11 and will close on June 13, 2025.  The SCPS summer testing window is:

  • Tuesday, July 15:  End-of-Course Assessments (Algebra 1, Geometry, Biology 1, and G11 U.S. History
  • Wednesday, July 16: Grade 10 ELA-Reading Retake

Note: Students who are not able to test during the summer testing window, will have another opportunity to take the EOC during the Fall testing window at the public school in which they are enrollled.

Below is the process that will be used to administer assessments in Seminole County.

  1. Complete the following:
    Review the Memo to Private School Administrators and Parents/Guardians
    Student Registration Form (click the link to complete the form) 
    Accommodation Request Form for eligible students with disabilities (click the link to complete the form)
    Sample Tests (click the link to start the sample/practice test(s))
  2. Parents/Students must complete and submit the online registration form by the June 13, 2025 deadline.  Any application received after that date will NOT be accepted.
  3. Once the registration form is completed and submitted, the system will generate a message stating that the form has been received.  Students will be scheduled to test at the selected testing location.
  4. The school testing coordinator will contact parent/guardian within two (2) weeks prior to the testing date.  He/She will provide the test date, time, location, and any school specific information.
